Will Bocchi the Rock! Have a Season 2?
As of writing, the second season of Bocchi the Rock! hasn’t been announced yet by studio CloverWorks or by other creators working on the slice-of-life anime. With that being said, the story of Hitori, a lonely, shy girl who gets to finally live out her dream of joining a band, has captured fans’ hearts, making Bocchi the Rock! an unlikely Fall 2022 sensation. The anime has been commended for its songs, colorful aesthetics, and upbeat atmosphere, and many anime viewers would love to see more, so a second season can’t be ruled out entirely at this point.
How Likely Is It For Bocchi the Rock! To Get a Season 2?
Bocchi the Rock! is based on an ongoing manga by Aki Hamaji, so more content could come out, which could then be animated. But since there are currently only five manga volumes, this would probably take some time. Anime shows by studio CloverWorks have previously received sequels with varying degrees of success, such as The Promised Neverland Season 2, which demonstrated a very inconsistent quality. Of course, the studio has since then also produced gems like Spy x Family, so a Season 2 of Bocchi the Rock! wouldn’t necessarily be a flop.

For very popular titles, a Season 2 might be announced as soon as the first season’s finale airs, to maintain the momentum. The anime finished airing in late December 2022, and, so far, a second season hasn’t been announced. But this doesn’t mean that all plans for a second season of Bocchi the Rock! have been dropped.
