How Much of the Overlord Light Novel Did the Anime Cover?
So far, the anime adaptation has covered 14 Overlord light novel volumes, except Volumes 12 and 13, which will be adapted into the upcoming Overlord: Holy Kingdom Arc Movie. Overlord’s first season covered light novel volumes one through three. It tells the founding story of Ainz Ooal Gown’s guild, which led to his inevitable fight with Shalltear Bloodfallen. Despite the fact that Season 5 is yet to be announced, fans can follow along with Ainz’s supremacy by reading Overlord light novel volumes 15 through 18. However, as of writing, Overlord has only released 16 light novel volumes. The titles for Overlord light novel volumes 17 and 18 are not yet released to the public, but the author noted that the series will end with the 18th volume.
