The romantic comedy, directed by Wanuri Kahiu based on a screenplay by April Prosser, will be released on Netflix. But when exactly will it air? We’ve got all the answers you might need for the film.
When is Look Both Ways Coming Out on Netflix?
Good news! You don’t have to wait too long for Look Both Ways to be released on Netflix. The film will be available for streaming starting Wednesday, August 17th at 12:00 am PT. The movie has a total runtime of 1 hour and 50 minutes. Prior to its official title, Look Both Ways had a working title as Plus/Minus. This is in reference to the results of a pregnancy test that is indicative of what the movie is about. At the Golden Globes, Kahiu explained that she got attracted to Plus/Minus because: “It is an incredible story about women’s resilience. On the one hand, it is a story about a young mother. A young single mother, who is trying to figure out how her life works and how she pursues her passion. On the other hand, it is a story about a young artist doing everything that she can to get a break in the industry that is so hard to get into as a young woman. On both sides, it is about women striving for excellence and that is what drew me to it. Either through motherhood or artistry, it is about women striving for excellence. That is the most important thing and that is the big takeaway and why I wanted to be part of the project.” Production for the movie was fairly quick. Reports say filming started on June 21st and ended by August 3rd. Most of the movie was shot in Austin, TX but there were some scenes that were taken in Los Angeles, CA. Look Both Ways is just one of the many projects that Kahiu is working on. Apart from this, movie, Kahiu will be directing another Netflix movie entitled The Thing About Jellyfish, which will star Stranger Things actress, Millie Bobby Brown.
