A great Thanksgiving treat on Netflix released last week with Wednesday, directed by Tim Burton, and while her vibe could’ve fitted better during the Halloween season, Jenna Ortega’s impeccable portrayal of Wednesday is, in itself, a holiday gift especially to the fans of the Addams family. In a new set of behind-the-scenes photos, it shows how dedicated and hands-on (yes, pun on Thing) the director of Wednesday is as he goes above and beyond directing by being in a scene, standing in the position of a character through personally portraying them. The first photo shows Jenna Ortega stuffing Tim Burton in a locker like the scene where she find Pugsley in the same locker in the first episode. Then, there’s Tim Burton beside Gwendoline Christie covered with fake blood, and another with the director giving specific instructions. A black-and-white photo also reveals Tim Burton looking at a scene from the screen, another with the people behind the scenes, then one with Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Morticia Addams, with Jenna Ortega, and lastly, Tim Burton holding a shooting equipment.

Wednesday is the series directorial debut of the well-known director of gothic-styled movies, Tim Burton. From the looks of the series, Burton perfectly ingrained into it his personal touch, whilst complementing the portrayal of each of the actors who owned their roles in their own rights. Jenna Ortega plays the titular Wednesday and she is joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems, and Christina Ricci as Ms. Thornbill. Wednesday is now available to stream on Netflix.
