The show’s cast has been posting on social media to bid their goodbyes to their Vancouver set after wrapping up Virgin River Season 5 filming. So, what’s next for these small-town favorites? TVLine listed some of the series’ main characters and hinted at what might happen next in their storylines.
Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley)
The fourth season saw the revelation that Charmaine was pregnant. So, would she finally give birth in the next season? The answer is no if her post on Instagram has anything to go by. Why? With that fake baby bump in her snap, she’s evidently still pregnant. “It’s my 5th year of pregnancy, and I don’t know what everyone is complaining about,” she captioned her post. Preacher (Colin Lawrence)
Lawrence’s goodbye post just shows a strategic shutting of the “open” sign outside Jack’s (Martin Henderson) bar and the perfect use of Semisonic’s “Closing Time,” referring to their production’s conclusion. Though it didn’t give anything away about his character’s future in Virgin River Season 5, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith revealed how Paige (Lexa Doig) and Christopher (Chase Petriw) fit into his life would be explored. Cameron (Mark Ghanimé)
Ghanimé, in addition, teased in his post that Smith and the rest of the show’s team had “something special in store” in the upcoming season, accompanied by his smiling and stunning photo. “Can’t wait for you all to see what the town and the good doctor have coming for you!” he wrote. “Cameron looks happy here, doesn’t he? Any guesses why?”
Brie (Zibby Allen)
Allen’s post seemed the opposite of her character’s fate in Virgin River Season 5. “Sweet AF,” she described the new season’s filming. However, now that her ex has returned to her life, she may again be in danger. READ MORE: The Walking Dead Spinoffs: EP Scott Gimple Hints More TWD Stories Coming
Denny (Kai Bradbury)
Lastly, Bradbury just shared a photo of his chair with his character’s name on it. “That’s a Season 5 wrap on Denny!” he wrote. “[Virgin River] fam, it’s gonna be next level and I can’t wait for you to visit our beautiful town again soon!” By the looks of it, Denny will remain alive until Virgin River Season 5 ends after announcing his critical illness in the previous season finale. Virgin River Season 5 is expected to be out in the summer of 2023. For more Virgin River Season 5 news, stay tuned to EpicStream.
