According to Redanian Intelligence, several actors who have been cast in The Witcher Season 3 have been shooting new scenes for the series. Actors Cassie Clare, Mecia Simson and Harvey Quinn shared Instagram photos of themselves on the set of the Netflix series. Although the images seem harmless as they make jokes about the heat or a random restroom, the posts also suggest that The Witcher has resumed filming its adaptation of the Thanedd Coup from Andrzej Sapkowski’s fourth Witcher book Time of Contempt, which led to the Brotherhood of Sorcerers’ disbandment.
For now, it isn’t clear whether these are new images or the actors simply missed working on the series. However, there is a huge possibility that only Henry Cavill and those who were in close contact with the actor were required to go into quarantine after the positive COVID-19 diagnosis. It’s not a huge surprise that the cast and crew of The Witcher Season 3 are eager to keep working. After all, the show’s return is already expected very soon. With that in mind, we’re hoping for Henry Cavill’s speedy recovery so he could continue working on the series. The Witcher Season 3 will continue to adapt parts of Sapkowski’s novel Blood of Elves which served as the inspiration behind the second season. However, most of the upcoming season will follow the events in Time of Contempt as well. For now, The Witcher Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
