Well, it seems that the Star Wars patriarch wasn’t initially a fan of the character. In fact, Lucas apparently had a major concern regarding Grogu’s creation which is now being revealed through the show’s new art book. In The Art of The Mandalorian: Season 2 (via The Direct), Filoni revealed that he spoke with Lucas about Grogu and they discussed how the character should be presented.According to Dave, George wanted him and Jon to make sure that Baby Yoda learned how to use the Force, instead of already establishing his abilities right off the bat. Obviously, the showrunners listened to his advice as Grogu’s lack of knowledge regarding the Force is evident in the first two seasons of the hit Disney+ series.
