In Marvel Comics’ Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca #8 (via ComicBook), it was revealed that Greedo, the same creature involved in the years-long “who shot first” discourse was the second owner of the ship. It turns out that when Han was believed to be dead in the ongoing story, Greedo temporarily assumed ownership of the Falcon. Of course, Han would later resurface to take back his property so I guess Greedo will always end up empty-handed. While a sequel to 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story seems improbable right now, director Ron Howard revealed he’s down to return to Star Wars should Lucasfilm give him a call. With the production company continuously expanding the franchise through the Disney+ streaming platform, virtually anything is possible so I’ll never say never just yet.
