The visual is illustrated by Yumi Shimojo and was shared via the official Spy x Family anime Twitter account. There, details about upcoming announcements regarding the show were teased. This new visual features Anya in a yukata (a Japanese summer kimono) with a floral pattern. Anya holds some cotton candy in the visual while being surrounded by Japanese summer festival snacks like Takoyaki and shaved ice. As it’s still summer in Japan, the artwork of Anya in a yukata is a perfect fit for the weather. Though this won’t be the only new content that will be shared for the anime. In the tweet of the art, it was announced that new Spy x Family content will be released on Twitter in the coming days until August 31, 2022. Following this summer Anya art, a new key visual for the show was released, along with a release date for Part 2 of the first season. Spy x Family is an anime series jointly animated by Wit Studio and Cloverworks. It is based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuya Endo that started serialization in Shonen Jump+ in March 2019. Since its release, the manga has become one of Shonen Jump’s biggest hits, as it now has over 25 million copies in circulation for its nine volumes. The series follows Twilight, a Westalian spy who is tasked to help prevent a war between his nation and the neighboring country of Ostania. To do this, he must spy on Donovan Desmond in Ostania, a major political figure in the country. As Donovan only makes public appearances in the elite school where his son studies, Twilight can only get close to him there. Thus, Twilight adopts the alias of Loid Forger, adopts an orphan named Anya, and marries city hall clerk Yor Briar. Unbeknownst to him, his new adopted daughter is a telepath while his wife is a professional assassin named Thorn Princess. As the three settle into their family life, all of them must keep their identities and abilities hidden. The Spy x Family anime is set to continue with Part 2, which will premiere this October.
