Madelaine Petsch Teases Riverdale Season 7
In an interview with Variety to promote the new holiday romcom Hotel for the Holidays, Petsch revealed the final season would call back to the first season. The 28-year-old answered the question of the show’s storylines could get crazier than she thought, though she promised she wouldn’t say anything much about the new season. This season is more pared down with the craziness, but there are some bizarre things happening.”
Riverdale Season 7 to Return to the 1950s
The previous season saw Chery destroying the comet that tried to ruin the town. However, after the ordeal, everyone was sent to the 1950s, and only Jughead (Cole Sprouse) had recollections of what happened. The showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed, via ScreenRant, that Riverdale Season 7 would partly deconstruct the myth that the 1950s was a perfect time and how it didn’t apply to everyone. This might even be a nod to the new season’s premiere episode title, Don’t Worry Darling, similar to the 2021 movie directed by Olivia Wilde. Alternatively, Lily Reinhart, who plays the role of Betty, revealed the new season would be refreshing, promising fans they would surely enjoy the finale.
