To start, the trailer introduces the world-famous actress Marilyn Monroe, but no, it will not be about every bling in her life, but rather, her struggles getting into the industry and staying in it. Despite being in the center of attention, no one saw through her and what she was going through.
It’s a heartfelt and painful thing to see her struggles like that but it is a fictional take on her story, just to remind everyone. The new biographical film is surely going to take everyone into a wild ride with its NC-17 rating.
Netflix’s Blonde will follow the story of the famous Marilyn Monroe or Norma Jeane Mortensen in real life as she became a Hollywood actress in the 50s and 60s. It tackles the issues of the actress from love, exploitation, addiction, to abuse of power that she experienced in her life behind the screens.

Blonde is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Joyce Carol Oates which laid down the private life of Marilyn Monroe in a fiction. There will also be sensitive topics like drug abuse, abortion, graphic sex, and more.
Having an NC-17 rating is uncommon but there is a valid reason why Blonde got such a rating: there is a rape scene. It can be expected that Netflix’s Blonde will also show explicit sex scenes and nudity which results to the said rating.
Netflix’s Blonde stars Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe, Adrien Brody as Arthur Miller, Bobby Cannavale as Joe DiMaggio, Caspar Phillipson as John F. Kennedy, Julianne Nicholson as Gladys Pearl Baker, Xavier Samuel as Charles Chaplin Jr., Luke Whoriskey as Jame Dean, Michael Masini as Tony Curtis, Sara Paxton as Miss Flynn, and more.
Netflix’s Blonde arrives on Netflix on September 23, 2022.
