A prime example of that is the James Bond franchise which is said to be undergoing a major facelift for its reboot in the future. After Daniel Craig ended his storied Bond tenure in No Time to Die, speculation circulated all over the internet that the next time we’ll see Agent 007 on the big screen, he will actually be played by a Black actor. In fact, Idris Elba is reportedly in contention for the role although nothing official has been made.However, despite rumors of Hollywood looking to cast a person of color as the next Bond, the Star Wars actor doesn’t seem convinced that it will be the actual case. Speaking with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Finn actor shrugged off the idea of him playing the iconic film spy, citing that his race and color might hinder him from getting the part.He explains: “I’m sorry, but I’m Black — I don’t know how….When you’re Black, I don’t know how that goes. You as a white man grew up in a society as a white man and that’s normal. That’s normal to you.
