Recently speaking with The Hollywood Reporter amid Lawrence clarifying her previous comment on how The Hunger Games led the female action leads era, the Hunger Games actress compares working on set with a male director with a female-led set.
“It did always just make us laugh about how we ended up with, ‘Women shouldn’t be in roles like this because we’re so emotional,’” Lawrence then continues on her comment to say that working with Bryan Singer for the X-Men franchise is one of the ‘biggest hissy fits’ she has seen on set. “I mean, I’ve worked with Bryan Singer. I’ve seen emotional men. I’ve seen the biggest hissy fits thrown on set.”
The actress sheds light that working on a female-led movie with her producing partner felt a whole level of different. Check out her full comment below on how they compromise when their schedules do not fit the timeline set to film for the movie:
In a nutshell, Jennifer Lawrence puts her foot down, overly preferring to work with female directors: “[Neugebauer’s] my third female director, and they are the calmest, best decision-makers I’ve ever worked with. I absolutely love working with female directors.”
