In a report from Deadline, it has been confirmed that Industry’s Harry Lawtey has joined the cast of Joker: Folie à Deux in an undisclosed role but it is teased that Lawtey will be playing a big role in the upcoming sequel, however, it remains undisclosed. Harry Lawtey is best known for his role in Industry as Robert Spearing. He also appeared in other projects such as The Letter for the King, Casualty, and Benediction. There are not a lot of details about Joker: Folie à Deux but recently, the film casts Jacob Lofland, Brendon Gleeson and Catherine Keener in undisclosed roles as well. Zazie Beets is set to return and reprise her role as Sophie Dumond, neighbor of Arthur Fleck.

Joaquin Phoenix is set to reprise his iconic role as Arthur Fleck, The Joker, in a musical sequel, Joker: Folie À Deux, and Lady Gaga has confirmed her involvement teasing her role as Dr. Harleen Quinzel who later becomes Harley Quinn. Joker: Folie À Deux will be directed by Todd Phillips who will also pen the script alongside Scott Silver. Production of the film is set to commence on November 5 this year. Joker: Folie À Deux, the title of the film, is a French term for “folly of two” or “madness of two.” Folie À Deux is also called as a shared delusional disorder which is a rare psyhchiatric syndrome where two people close to each other share the same delusion. Joker 2: Folie À Deux is slated for a theatrical release on October 4, 2024.
