On his official Twitter account, Togashi has shared what seems to be a manuscript page with the number 16 in the lower right corner. The page also features what looks like a draft of an illustration featuring some characters. While there’s no context regarding this scene, the update from Togahsi generated a lot of hype from fans, with the tweet already getting over 130,000 likes and 12,000 retweets. Togashi opened his personal Twitter account back in May, and his first post was a similar picture of a manuscript, but with a number 6 on the corner. In the post, he also mentioned that there are 4 chapters to go. Since then, Togashi has released updates fairly regularly, with posts appearing every day since around late June. Each post features a peek at a manuscript page, with sequential numbers for each post until it reaches around 18. While there’s not much context regarding these updates, some have theorized that each number is referring to one manuscript page. This makes sense given that the posts go back to 1 after every 18 pages, possibly indicating that he has finished a chapter (or at least a draft). If that is indeed the case, Togashi has now finished nearly four Hunter x Hunter chapters, or at the very least he has finished the drafts of the four chapters. Hunter x Hunter is a manga series that started serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump back in March 1998. While the series was published at a regular pace with minimal breaks, the series has gone on hiatus for longer periods starting in 2006. The last Hunter x Hunter chapter was released back on November 26, 2018. Currently, there’s no word yet on when the next chapter (391) will be released.
