Not long after the rumor circulated, a follow-up report said Superman actor Henry Cavill was also in talks to star in Season 2. Of course, given his involvement in Netflix’s The Witcher, the British actor is naturally a good fit for the show. However, as it stands, nothing has been made official yet although HBO recently confirmed that Season 2 has in fact been greenlit.Fans are excited about the possibility of Marvel and DC’s biggest stars coming together for a project and understandably so, but it looks like there’s no reason to rejoice after all. Natalie Zamora of Winter is Coming notes that there could be zero truth about the said castings since HBO would typically cast lesser-known or up-and-coming actors for the show.
