Henry Cavill attended a live on-stage interview with Josh Horowitz of the Happy Sad Confused podcast where Cavill was asked about whether the recent rumors about him playing a role in House of the Dragon season 2 and Loki season 2 were true. The actor joked about seeing the resemblance between The Witcher and the Targaryens, but ultimately stating he was not joining the show. You can watch the interview below:

Along with Henry Cavill joining House of the Dragon rumors, there was Elizabeth Olsen who was initially speculated to be a part of the show’s cast, as well. But of course, she was quick to address this by saying how although she would be interested in a role, she was confused at its ‘randomness’, “How random. Why him? Why me? … I don’t even know that guy, either!”

Although fans have been speculating that the actor left The Witcher to make way for a different role, it was actually because he had a disagreement behind-the-scenes on The Witcher’s showrunners for refusing to fully adapt the series from its original source material. For now, you can catch his return on The Witcher Season 3 which premieres in 2023, with no official production start date for The Witcher Season 4. Meanwhile, Enola Holmes 2 will be released on Netflix on November 4.
