Sweetin was part of the original series from its debut season in 1987 to its eighth and final season in 1995. Though Full House wasn’t a critical favorite, it became a fan favorite and remains famous today.
Full House Spinoff Plans
Though there are no concrete plans for a new Full House spinoff, Sweetin revealed she has the best idea of when it may finally happen. In an interview with E! News, the 40-year-old suggested that a The Golden Girls-inspired spinoff might work out for the next project. “Who knows what can happen? I’m not opposed to it,” she said. “If you would have asked us 20 some years ago if we would do a reboot of Full House, we would have been like, ‘No, probably not.’” ALSO READ: Rick & Michonne: Why is the TV Series Better than the Supposed Trilogy Movie? The Possible Next Storyline for Full House Spinoff
If the next Full House spinoff will indeed be in the works in the next 20 years, Sweetin’s planned The Golden Girls theme might perfectly work out. Stephanie, DJ (Candace Cameron Blue), and Kimmy (Andrea Barber), may live together and share a house, just like what Dorothy (Bea Arthur), Rose (Betty White), Blanche (Rue McClanahan), and Sophia (Estelle Getty) did in The Golden Girls. It can’t be denied that most of the Full House cast wants the show to have another spinoff despite the death of one of its original actors, Bob Saget, who played the role of Danny Tanner.
