The Instagram story was first noticed by Murphy’s Multiverse. The Instagram story consisted of Mawlowe sitting at a bar drinking a glass with the caption, “That’s a mf wrap” implying that Ironheart will soon be hitting theaters. Check out the IG story below:
Ironheart is looking promising with Black Panther director Ryan Coogler helming the Disney+ original series while also handling the MCU timeline between his takes.
Should Ironheart follow the original storyline of the comic book, it centers 15-year-old Riri Williams (to be played by Dominique Thorn) who earned an engineering scholarship at MIT. She is a young Black girl inventor who’s basically the younger version of Tony Stark. In fact, she even managed to create her very own version of the Iron Man suit.
Riri also created a J.A.R.V.I.S. but in her own version, she calls it N.A.T.A.L.I.E. to pay tribute to the childhood best friend she lost during a drive-by shooting. Due to her immense talents at such a young age, in the comic books, she catches Tony Stark’s attention and recruits her for his cause. By recruit, she gets to support Tony during the second Civil War and was even assigned to take the wheel at some point while Stark found himself injured.
Riri was set to become a part of the next generation Marvel superheroes called the Champions. She is also set to make her first appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and seeing as Coogler is a big fan of the Marvel comics, it is safe to assume he would follow the plot of the original source material.
