Call of the Night Episode 10 Recap
Midori is having a difficult night in Maid Café Vamp after one of her coworkers stood her up. Thanks to Nazuna, Midori’s problem of a lack of manpower will now be solved. Not only is Nazuna uninterested in men, but she also has Kou to contend with. If Midori seeks assistance from the other vampires, she will be in a popularity contest, which will be too much for her to handle. Before the café opened for the night, Midori taught Nazuna how to be a proper maid. She also forced Nazuna to dress as a maid. On the other hand, Kou will be a customer, and secretly, Midori will do everything she can to impress him once more. Kou is the café’s first customer as it opens for the night. They greet Kou as the master of the house, just like real maids do. While Midori was a proper maid, Nazuna was being herself. Nazuna’s behavior irritated Midori because her reputation is at stake. Midori pleads with Nazuna to behave like a proper maid for once. After all, she will pay Nazuna in cash for her services. Even after switching personalities, Nazuna is still unable to perform her duties as a maid properly. Arisa, one of the maids, arrives at Kou’s table to deliver his tropical juice while he watches Midori do her job. Arisa also introduced herself to Kou and shared her favorite foods, pastries, and hobbies. Kou is taken aback by Arisa’s gestures because it is the first time anyone has focused on him. Arisa’s efforts have impressed Kou. He even told her that the atmosphere reminded him of an anime. Suddenly, Arisa revealed that she was the café’s former number one maid until Midori started working there. Midori, Nazuna, and Kou were talking in the locker room after the café closed for the night. Midori wants to photograph Nazuna and post it on the café’s social media. Midori was about to do it when she received a message containing perverted photos of one of the maids. Kou grabs Midori’s phone to get a better look. According to his observations, they were all Arisa’s photos. While Midori is surprised that one of their customers is a pervert, she is also perplexed that no one has photographed her. After all, she is the café’s number one maid. Hence, Midori believes that the culprit who sent the message likes Arisa. To find the culprit, Midori asked Kou to help her out. The following day, Kou and Nazuna began their investigation. While Kou was looking through the photos, Arisa entered the locker room. It turns out that there’s also a picture of her changing in the locker room. Kou circled the room and discovered a balcony outside where someone could sneak in and take photos. Nazuna also informed Kou that she had been watching every customer. For the time being, however, she found no one suspicious. They also discovered a door that led to the balcony, but unfortunately, it is locked. Kou and Nazuna chose to scale the balcony from the outside. According to Kou’s conclusion, the perpetrator must be flexible like Nazuna to be able to get in and take pictures from the balcony. Hence, Nazuna assumed that Midori was the perpetrator. However, Kou contended that Nazuna could also be the culprit. Moving on, Nazuna and Kou attempt to recapture the photos taken by the culprit. After telling Nazuna that looking good in photos depends on whether the person is used to taking selfies and how they present their face to the camera, Kou had an epiphany. Having said that, Kou is confident that he can now apprehend the perpetrator. If Kou does not become a vampire, he wishes to become a detective instead. Nazuna admires Kou’s reasoning and compares him to a genius detective whose IQ increases only when peeping Tom photos are involved. Kou and Midori hid in one of the lockers to catch the culprit, while Arisa went to change alone. Nazuna, on the other hand, was left to inform Arisa that the maid café had been closed. Because the peeping Tom photos of Arisa were taken during closing hours, it was the ideal time for the perpetrator to appear. Surprisingly, and as Kou predicted, Arisa is the perpetrator. She used the timer on her camera to take selfies while changing. Kou, Midori, and Nazuna all caught her in the act. The three of them then decided to confront Arisa about her motivation for doing such a thing. Midori informed Kou that Arisa was ill. Arisa invented an imaginary peeping Tom to prove that she is still popular after being demoted to number two. Midori also told Kou that she is as sick as Arisa because he is not going to school and is messing with Nazuna at night. Similarly, she related it to herself. Midori came to the conclusion that all humans are sick in their own unique ways and that everyone should just accept it. Before the episode ends, Nazuna has decided to work part-time in the maid café because the pay is excellent. Despite having a day off, Arisa went to the maid café to speak with her favorite maid, Midori.
