Update: Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is now available to read on Viz Media. The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga series usually releases a new chapter every month, but the series is taking an extended hiatus in July 2022, so don’t expect Chapter 72 to arrive this month. Right now, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 72 is set to release on Friday, August 19. Chapter 72 is expected to be released at midnight JST on Saturday. If this release time is accurate, the English translations for Chapter 72 should be released online at the following times, but they may be released earlier. The good news for shonen fans is that Dragon Ball Super Chapter 86 was already released this month.

So pretty much, there are three major plot points in this chapter:
Momoshiki appearing in front of Boruto and the tension between them. Shikimaru’s phone conversation with Amado, who’s with Daemon and Ada in the Land of Snow. Code making an army using the chakra of the Ten Tails. The creature looks like a mix of Frieza from Dragon Ball and White Zetsu.
A timeskip is expected to come in a future chapter of Boruto, but Chapter 72 probably won’t have one.
