Speaking on The Town with Matthew Belloni podcast, Black Panther producer Nate Moore doesn’t hesitate to debunk as to why MCU fans shouldn’t write for Marvel. He always sees them as ‘red flags’ upon hiring. Read Moore’s full comment below:
Moore continues to say he only wants people — whether or not they’re Marvel fans — who go hard on the material, who are able to criticize and depict the source material from a different angle, rather than just ‘recreating’ it from the comic’s panels, or as he says, he is not a fan of ‘direct, one-to-one translation to the best version of the movie.’ It is important, after all, to be able to somewhat ‘own’ the source material by taking your own spin on it to spring new content.
Besides, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuously expanding, it is crucial for the writers to be flexible in writing new angles for their stories to fit into the timeline. Meanwhile, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently in theaters.
