Star Wars may have dealt with some adult issues in its history but the dialogue has always been kept PG. However, that has changed with Andor, which dropped a well-placed cuss word in Episode 3. In Andor Episode 3, a group of corporate troops pursues Cassian Andor to Ferrix. However, they find themselves having to deal with residents of the community who decide to take a stand against the intruders. Upon realizing this, Sergeant Linus Mosk says, “Sh-t, we’re under siege.”
It’s an unexpected line and we’re surprised he didn’t say “poodoo” but it’s still an awesome thing to hear in a Star Wars series that is more grounded than its predecessors. We’re not sure why it took so long for any real-life cuss words to find their way into a Star Wars project but some believed that they didn’t exist in this universe. However, Andor has proven otherwise and this could mean some interesting changes happening to the franchise’s PG-13 projects in the future. The first three episodes of Andor premiered on Wednesday and immediately set the pace for the Star Wars series. The episodes were directed by Toby Haynes who is set to helm three more episodes later in the season. Andor stars Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, who was first introduced in Rogue One. The fourth episode will be directed by Susanna White and is set to premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
